A Tier 1 K9 Trainer/Handler is a Special Missions Unit operator that has served in a Tier 1 Unit (military or law enforcement) as a K9 trainer and handler and is well rounded and considered a SME in all facets . A Tier 1 K9 is a dog that performs at a level that is not common place for most other working K9s. A Tier 1 K9 refers to a mindset of not sacrificing quality for quantity.
