Tier  1 are the most sought after and respected for which the quality of performance and product is the expectation.

What  this means is taking the top 1%

and further weaning that number down 

until the  top 10% of that 1% are identified.

WHAT IS A TIER 1 K9 TRAINER/HANDLER?

A Tier 1 K9 Trainer/Handler is a Special Missions Unit operator that has served in a 

Tier 1 Unit (military or law enforcement) as a K9 trainer and handler and is well rounded and considered a SME in all facets.

A Tier 1 K9 is a dog that possess the exceptional abilities.

A Tier 1 K9 is a dog that performs at a level that is not common place for most other working K9s.

A Tier 1 K9 refers to a mindset of not sacrificing quality for quantity.  

In other words, every dog is Tier 1 quality and is  trained to Tier 1 quality standards.

WHAT MAKES A K9 A QUALIFIED TIER 1 K9?

A K9 is a qualified Tier 1 K9 because that K9 has been tested and meets the Tier 1  K9 standards necessary to function and flourish in Tier 1 environment by a Tier 1 trainer-handler and has proven by the K9s actions to be able to endure and thrive in a Tier 1 environment.
