INSIDE THE FENTANYL EPIDEMIC

The overwhelming scourge from Fentanyl is dreadful plague upon society.

Take a few minutes to review the latest data and intelligence regarding Fentanyl and the horrific and terrorizing impact and toll this lethal and deadly chemical poison is afflicting upon people and communities all over America.

“Every 3 hours, someone is dying from Fentanyl overdose in New York City in 2022”

- NYC Special Narcotics Prosecutor Bridget G. Brennan

According to a December 12, 2022 Washington Post article, based on the Washington Post analyzing 2021 CDC Death Data, Fentanyl overdose is now the leading cause of death in adults ages 18 to 49 in the US. There are other reports that state that Fentanyl overdose is the leading cause of death for 13 to 49 year olds.

Over 100,000+ people a year are overdosing on Fentanyl as of 2022.

That number has been consistently increasing every year for the past five years.

The amount of Fentanyl pouring into the US is increasing by a factor of multiples on a weekly and monthly basis. Currently, Fentanyl is being mixed with a variety of other synthetic chemical compounds such as Xylazine, a horse tranquilizer known on the streets as “Tranq”, so when first responders administer Narcan, because the overdose victim is knocked out from the Tranq, they don't wake up, so even more people will be dying from the Fentanyl overdoses in the future.

In 2022, the DEA announced the seizure of over 379 million deadly doses of Fentanyl in the US.

In 2022, according to the DEA website, DEA New York and NYC's Office of the Special Narcotics Prosecutor seized record amounts of Fentanyl laced, fake prescription pills and Fentanyl powder.

In 2022, Fentanyl led to over 2300 fatal overdose poisonings in NYC and 6,000 estimated overdose deaths in New York State.

In 2022, 1.9 million Fentanyl laced fake prescription pills (a 152% increase from 2021) and 1,958 lbs. of Fentanyl, which is the equivalent of 72 million lethal doses, was seized by the DEA's New York Division.

"Fentanyl saturates the illegal drug supply in New York City and is a factor in roughly 80% of overdose deaths" according to Special Narcotics Prosecutor Bridget G. Brennan. To put that into perspective, throughout 2022, the DEA New York Division seized enough deadly doses of Fentanyl in New York to kill the entire population of New York State three times over.

Let that sink in and really think about that for more than a second.

I’ll repeat that statement:

In 2022, DEA New York seized enough Fentanyl to kill the entire population of New York State three times over.
