TIER 1 K9 GREEN DOGS

A Tier 1 K9 “green dog” is a dog that has been evaluated for its potential to be a police dog, meaning it has the appropriate instincts (drives) and nerves (courage) to do the task.

SINGLE PURPOSE TIER 1 K9 GREEN DOGS

Tier 1 K9 single purpose green dogs are deemed suitable for only one or the other: either a detection-only dog, or perhaps a patrol-only dog. 

DUAL PURPOSE TIER 1 K9 GREEN DOGS 

Tier 1 K9 dual purpose green dogs are deemed "suitable" for dual-purpose work. In other words, they have the potential capability to be able to function in a dual capacity and be able to perform patrol and scent detection work.

SINGLE PURPOSE FULLY TRAINED TIER 1 K9S

Tier 1 K9 fully trained single purpose Tier 1 K9s are single-purpose K9s that are singularly fully pre-trained for narcotics detection, explosives detection or patrol or a specific task.

DUAL PURPOSE FULLY TRAINED TIER 1 K9S

Tier1 K9 dual purpose fully trained K9s are fully trained for dual-purpose work – meaning the dog has completed training for a detection specialty like narcotics, explosives or contraband such as cell phones and patrol functions such as apprehension, tracking and building and area searches.
